TITAANPALU is a small art studio in Tallinn. We draw quiet, two-tone studies: line engravings of the natural world, single ink gestures in the sumi-e tradition, geometric constructions, brush-drawn letters, fossils, charts of the year's natural cycles. One subject at a time, one ink tone, bare ground, the way plates were once drawn for scientific catalogues.

We make things for people who like their objects intelligent and a little uncommon. A radiolarian skeleton on a tote, an ammonite drawn like a museum plate, the geometry of the celestial equator across a chest. All with an artistic touch, not always aspiring scientific accuracy. Subjects you choose because they mean something to you, not because everyone on the street will recognise them. Nothing here shouts, and nothing is printed by the thousand.

The rule of the catalogue

Every design begins as a study. If a drawing does not hold up on a wall, a tee and a tote at once, it does not join the catalogue. The series grow slowly: Vellum for the natural world, Sumi for the ink gestures, Axiom for pure geometry, and the newer shelves, from Fossil to Phenomena. A few pieces at a time, when they are ready.

The materials

A drawing this quiet needs a ground that carries it, so we are particular about materials. Our tees are cut from 100% organic ring-spun combed cotton at 155 g/m²: combing removes the short fibres, which is what gives the surface its smooth, matte face and lets a hairline stay a hairline. Hoodies use a heavier organic cotton blend, brushed soft on the inside. Totes are natural cotton left in its own colour. Art prints go on museum-grade enhanced matte paper at 189 g/m², heavy enough to sit flat and stay flat in a frame.

The ink is water-based and sinks into the fibre, so the drawing becomes part of the cloth rather than a layer on top of it. It washes like the garment, not like a sticker.

Made when you order it

Each piece is produced only after you order it, at partner workshops in Europe and the US. There is no stock and no warehouse, so nothing is made that nobody wanted. Production takes a few business days, then your order ships.
